Hello! I’m Josh Morgenthau, a visual artist and farmer based in the Hudson Valley and Brooklyn, New York. Following a fifteen year artistic hiatus, in 2024 I began making quick studies to overcome the rustiness. Here are a selection of the drawings and paintings that resulted. They are made mostly in observation of the things around me — the farm landscape, our dogs, a Brooklyn backyard. Landing somewhere between study and finished artwork, but nonetheless reflect moments or feelings in place and time.
